The Wachowski bros certainly put a lot of effort into making Speed Racer... the movie overall looked and felt like a cross between anime, a kaleidoscope, that Flintstones movie, a video game and the Dukes of Hazard
thanks for the vivid descrip, which is far better than most i've read in reviews. excellent assessment.
i'm awaiting the tokyo dome premiere on the largest screen in the world, with full imax tech. sounds like it's more of an experience than a film.
